Anywhere But Here is a full-length contemporary dance work by Whirlwind Dance Company that reimagines the world of Alice in Wonderland as an internal psychological landscape. Rather than retelling the story, the production transforms its iconic figures into manifestations of human experience: self-awareness, anxiety, overstimulation, detachment, transformation, and rage.

Through six interconnected sections, the work explores the desire to escape oneself and the tension between fragmentation and integration. Movement language shifts across each manifestation, reflecting how the mind adapts, fractures, and ultimately confronts itself.

Anywhere But Here invites audiences into a visually and emotionally immersive experience that examines identity, mental resilience, and the courage required to remain present when escape feels easier.
